This study aims to map out ownership relations and their impact on pluralism and independence of the media in B&H, to enable a better understanding of BiH context in the light of regional trends through a general review of the situation in this field in the countries of the South East Europe and the EU countries from Central and Eastern Europe.
This publication includes two out of seventeen articles written within a project carried out in 2004 by the Peace Institute, Ljubljana and the partner centers/institutes within the SEENPM network. The regional overview looks into the regulatory mechanisms and models of ownership in the region, while the second article focuses on the ownership structures in Bosnia and Herzegovina, while taking into consideration the regulatory mechanisms, institutional framework and other characteristics of the media market in B&H.
