The Mapping Digital Media report project examines the progress of digitization and its impact on media and communications.
More specifically, the report analyzes how digitization is changing media output, media freedom, and citizens’ access to quality news and information. The report pays special attention to a series of factors that contribute to information quality, such as media literacy, situation of journalists, professional level in the media, legal environment, role of regulators, ownership in the media, media funding, and PBS standing in the overall process.
