Media Reforms through Intervention: International Media Assistance in Bosnia and Herzegovina, 2013.

This paper investigates if and how the media system in Bosnia and Herzegovina was influenced by the two decades of international media assistance programs.

The paper is a part of the comparative research project that studies the results of, and the challenges to the international media assistance efforts in the Western Balkan countries.  The paper first provides a brief overview of the political and media system in BiH and democratization efforts to date. Focus then shifts to media assistance, with particular attention given to the four case studies: Public Service Broadcasting (PSB), the Communication Regulatory Agency (CRA), the Open Broadcast Network (OBN), and the Press Council.
