Award to journalist for a story supported by SEE Media Observatory

Serbian journalist won the anual investigative reporting award for the story supported by SEE Media Observatory.
The journalist from BIRN (Balkan investigative reporting network) Serbia, Slobodan Georgijev, sub-grantee of South East European Media Observatory and his colleage Aleksandar Djordjevic received an anual investigative reporting award for the story supported by our project.
At the beginning of this year, the story was originally published in English language in the Balkan Insight, the BIRN web news portal.
But the story won as the best investigative stiory in Serbia published in press. In March story was published in Serbian language in news weekly Vreme in Belgrade.
It is an award received within the awarding scheme of the Independent Association of Journalists in Serbia (IJAS) and the US Embassy in Belgrade on the occassion of the World Media Freedom Day for several categories.
